Biography

Rev. Bernard Micallef, a former athlete, exhibits a profound interest in the realm of sports. His undergraduate dissertation scrutinised the role of local football nurseries in advancing the strategy of the then National Council of Sports. His Licentiate dissertation delved into the interplay between sports and religion, while also addressing the contemporary requirements of sports ministry.

Over the course of seven years, Fr Bernard has actively participated as a member of KDS. He completed the ‘ReadySetGO’ training programme provided by the European Christian Sports Union, in addition to participating in gatherings organized by the same institution. Notably, he assumed the role of chaplain at the World Para-Athletic Championships’23 held in Paris.
