Biography

Ms Dorianne Cassar emarked on her academic career when she initiated her undergraduate studies in theology, philosophy and classical languages at the University of Malta. After that she decided to further her studies in Biblical Theology whereby she specialized in Old Testament focusing on Wisdom Literature especially one of the most forlorn books within this category, known as the Song of Songs. This acted as a launch pad to forge ahead in Biblical Studies at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium.

After finishing her postgraduate studies and returning to the islands, Dorianne ventured into teaching Religious Education at the Archbishop’s Seminary School where she has been teaching ever since. Since a couple of years ago, she has also taken into her stride the role of an assistant lay chaplain.
