Biography

Dr Vella is the Clinical Chair of Sedqa, Malta’s National Agency for Dependencies. She has been working at this agency for the past 25 years. Her area of specialisation is care for pregnant women with a substance misuse problem and women who are into prostitution. She is a Public Health specialist since 2008. She is also a visiting senior lecturer at the University of Malta for more than 20 years lecturing on Addiction to Medical students, Nurses, Midwives and Social workers and in post graduate courses.
